Proprietress Gina Martinez is a salon industry veteran. Her 25 years in the business have taught her a thing or two. Most importantly, she’s learned that connecting with her clients and magnifying their beauty from the inside out is what really counts. Gina started her career as a teenager and has not looked back since. In the eighties, she studied with industry greats like Horst Rechelbecher, founder of Aveda, Irving Rusk and the Toni & Guy salon.

Gina’s experience helped her find her unique niche in the Denver market. She is known for her creative designs and helps clients cultivate distinctive, artistic looks that leave them feeling fashionable and confident. Gina has worked at a variety of well known Denver salons and has created a following of loyal clients who turn to her for fresh looks that they can recreate on their own so that they look just as good on a casual Sunday afternoon as they would when they walk out of the salon for a night on the town.

Gina has a passion for design work and loves to create styles that are on the cutting edge of the industry. To Gina, hair is art and she is known for her editorial work and award-winning color. Gina also heads up the education at Blondie's and frequently travels to the nation’s most fashion-forward cities to find the newest trends and techniques.
"I knew I wanted Gina to cut and color my hair, but she was booked out a few weeks. Would it be worth the wait? My hair already looked lousy. Oh yeah! Gina seemed genuinely happy to see me, in fact, everyone in the shop just seemed happy. Gina listened to me, her adorable assistant Julie, listened to me, then Gina meticulously set about coloring, using a jillion colors, then just as meticulously cutting my hair. It has been a week and I still love it and it is not a "salon do" that I can never recapture for myself, and maybe best of all, Gina took just as much pride in making someone my age proud of her look. I can't wait to come back. What a treat, What a shop. Thank you, thank you, thank you! " Nita F.
